Hi, I’m Ruta.
I’m a buyer-focused REALTOR® for Toronto & the Greater Toronto Area. I help first-time buyers, growing (and shrinking) households, and people arriving from far away figure out which corner of this enormous region is theirs, and then actually buy the place.
I’ve been the new person in a new city. I remember not knowing which neighbourhoods were which, why everyone kept saying “the 905,” and whether a forty-minute commute was normal or a cry for help. That feeling is exactly why my website has a city-by-city guide and a comparison tool instead of a slideshow of sold signs.
I speak Russian and Lithuanian, so if English is the second language in your house, we can do this in one you’d rather ask questions in.
Why the birds?
Birds migrate thousands of kilometres on instinct and a good tailwind. People do it with spreadsheets and a lot of questions. I liked the idea that finding a home is a migration: you’re not lost, you’re en route. Every one of my clients is moving from somewhere to somewhere, whether that’s across the world or across the 401.
So the birds stuck. They’re a reminder that the trip is normal, the landing is the point, and travelling in a flock is a lot easier than going alone.

Honesty over hype
If a place is overpriced, I say so. If a city won't fit your commute, I say that too. You're making a six- or seven-figure decision; you deserve a straight answer more than a pep talk.
Teach first, sell second
Most of my first meetings are a geography lesson. The GTA is enormous and confusing, and nobody should buy in a city they can't picture on a map. Once you understand the options, the buying part gets easy.

My practice is set up for people finding a home, not moving inventory. First homes, next homes and newcomers with a plan. That focus is why the city guides and comparison tool exist.
